Congrats to the Jamaican
sprinters for representing in the Olympics 2012. London as come alive with the
various sports, which test the strength and endurance of each countries
athletes. Every athlete’s eyes are on the gold medal, while the national anthem
is played for the world to hear. Gold, silver and bronze are the only colors
that really matter. While the tiny island of Jamaica has had it's share of
gold. Usain Bolt -widely known as the fastest man ever; He is the first
man to hold both the 100 metres and 200 metres world records. Along with his teammates, he also set the world
record in the 4×100 metres relay.
He is the reigning Olympic champion in these three events, and a five-time
World and five-time Olympic gold medalist. He also is the first man
ever to defend both the 100 m and 200 m title at consecutive Olympics. He
stands tall and his legs are long, his personality childish and fun. He is the
idol of many who has a dream. He has given new meaning to hard work and self-confidence.
A man whose name has given the power of a super hero, bolt nothing less than a
lighting bolt. His speed is like a cheetah and he fears no one!
He is now declared the fastest sprinter in the world after winning the 100 and 200 meters back to back in consecutive Olympics. He has proven now beyond reason of doubt that he has super powers. People expected him to fail and some were even speculating he must be on drugs, well the only drugs in this man’s blood –is yam and banana his mother feeds him on. Look at him he is built like a cheetah. Glam only hopes the Jamaican government treats this man and the rest of their athletes with respect. They have time after time put our tiny country on a stage for the world to take notice. Our athletes should not only be cheered on when they win gold or when the camera's are on, they need contracts, advertisements endorsement just like the other athletes around the world. After watching Shelly Ann Frasier, life story -I was very disappointed to see that she still lived in her ghetto hometown -water house Kingston Ja, nothing is wrong with living where you grew up, but the surrounding area was a disgrace. The government needs to help these athletes rebuild their communities. For years these same athletes has held our country to high standard, through all the uprising and violence and the fear of visiting Jamaica, our athlete has always ran their ways in people's heart and allowing them to forget our troubles. To the entire team and production crew, congrats on a job well done. The pride to see my country flag rise and to hear our national anthem, has given us something to believe in, it’s a joy and a pride like no other. To Christopher Columbus, our national hero’s, the slaves, our musicians, our house of parliament and native people -OUT OF MANY WE ARE ONE.
i am extremely proud of my country right now. I am totally inspired by Shelly Ann Frazer-Pryce Story. If she can do it...anyone can. Shelly Ann is my She-ro!
