“50 Shades of Grey” is all over the blogs and news; whether you love it or love to hate it, it seems like it’s being read in every book club, every bedroom, and every office (undercover, lol) right now. According to CNN and Hollywood Reporter, it has sold more than 31 million copies worldwide. Although many writers have said that they cringe at the novels’ ‘gray’ verbiage, run-on sentences, flat characters and unfulfilling plot. For many readers, it’s like a vacation from everyday life, offering women to tap into their erotic side, without feeling ashamed!
From many women’s’ point of view, "Fifty Shades" is quenching their lust for erotic fantasies! I’ve read on a blog that readers are saying “thanks to this book they were able to further explore their sexuality with their partners and feel much more freedom to explore new things sexually and emotionally, which improved their sex lives.”
I’m not quite sure if this book should improve your sex life! I mean, you shouldn’t use a fictional novel to make you audacious enough to pursue such activities in your bedroom with your partner. However, I must say the book is a good read; I could barely put the book down!!! The writer makes you want to be Anastasia or to be a fly on the wall! Lol It captivates your mind, consumes your thoughts; with every page turned…you find yourself envisaging the different scenes- placing yourself as the character (the submissive/dominant). I would say to anyone that hasn’t read it yet-‘50 Shades’ is erotic, witty, and deeply moving; a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you!
To get a feel of the book, here is a brief synopsis:
“When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires."
