BARBEE IS BACK!

June 11, 2012 (Atlanta, GA) - Barbee has already made her name in the music industry as “Dancehall’s Bad Girl.” And her new single “Don’t Be Lying on My Kitty,” keeps her fans excited that Barbee is not here to play games. The hot new single addresses the issues involving men fabricating relationships that never existed between them and a particular woman. The single exposes the lies men tell to portray fantasies about women. She has expanded her talents vocally and is now focusing on hot topics relevant in the world today. Barbee’s music is a fusion of Reggae, Dancehall, R&B and Pop. Barbee says she was “greatly influenced by some of the greats like Cocoa Tea, Sugar Minott, and Sister Nancy.”

“Don’t Be Lying on My Kitty” was produced by Gorilla Drums, and is currently available on iTunes. This single will definitely expand her fan base to a larger portion of the international market. A young Diva in the making, Barbee already has hits under her belt. Such as, “Missing You,” featuring Junior Kelly, “Patty Cake” featuring Beenie Man, and “Come See Bout Me” featuring Trina (nominated for Best Video Collaboration for the 2012 Caribbean Video Awards). Although Barbee is definitely one of the most successful independent artists of all time, you would never know from her peaceful, humble, and vibrant energy.

All humbleness aside, Barbee’s her sexy demeanor and suggestive voice, is definitely something Barbee does not take for granted. And, she wants all women to feel the same. Barbee is a true believer that “women have to be true to themselves, and realize that female empowerment is essential to changing this crazy world we live in.” She is a strong enthusiast for young girls to be comfortable in their own skin and not seek validation by others. As Barbee says, “There was a time when what people said affected me, but I’ve realized there’s no time like God’s time and the focus is on dreams not money.”
Barbee recently hosted “Fashion Divas,” a fashion show in Puerto Rico and is now focusing solely on her music career traveling back and forth between Atlanta, LA, and New York. “Music is something that can help save lives, the impact of music needs to promote a positive influence to my supporters through truth and brutal honesty,” stated Barbee.
