Glam chat with Ramona Rizzo

Glam: Hi Ramona, thank you for taking the time out to chat with Glam,
tell us who Ramona Rizzo is?

Ramona: Ramona Rizzo is a combination of things: for life, I will always be a mom, and loyal  friend.
I'm also a person who will be tuff when needed but mainly that chick who will always like to have fun and enjoy all the things God has blessed me with and allowed me to do!

Glam: You grew up in a ‘Mobster’ life, how has your childhood life molded you into the person you are today?

Ramona: The life I grew up in just gave me more of a back bone for loyalty. It allowed me to keep a small circle of friends that you could trust with certain things. Because they most likely share a common family background with me and this makes me more comfortable. So, basically this lifestyle molded me into being much tougher with strangers and more lovable to the ones I am close to.

Glam: Your Grandfather was Benjamin "Lefty Guns" Ruggiero. Were you guys close and can you tell us what you loved the most about him?

Ramona: Yes...my grandfather was Lefty Guns Ruggiero and he was more than a grandfather, I was closer to him than any of my other relatives including my own parents and sister. He was the only person I would ever listen to and the only person that could make me do something even if I didn't want to do it. He was the only person I NEVER SPOKE BACK TO IN MY LIFE!
What I loved about him the most was the way he handled me ~ he always spoke to me and never at me! He was very charming, very caring and so attentive. He made me always feel special and most importantly made me know my self worth.

Glam: You are a member of the Vh1 reality show Mob Wives, how were you casted for that?

Ramona: I got casted for Vh1 MobWives through Jenn Graziano~ I was asked to do season 1 but declined due to personal and legal issues with my ex-husband. I knew Jenn for a long time, we grew up in the same lifestyle and have been childhood friends since early teens, which included family holidays and vacations together~ I'm sure you get the picture now. lol

Glam: The show portrays you as a ‘tuff’ and strong person. Is that really you?

Ramona: The show definitely portrays me as a strong and tuff person and that is me without a doubt, but that is not the only side of me, I am very warm and loving, but very guarded and very selective of who sees and receives me!

Glam: The brawl between you and Drita was so intense. Do you think you will ever be friends with her?

Ramona:(straight face) Drita and I were friends at one time, but to say could we ever be friends well there is your answer~ we were but can we ever be friends again?! hmmm only the man above knows that!

Glam: Are you from Staten Island? And how did Hurricane Sandy affect you?

Ramona: I did grow up in Staten Island since I was five years old and HURRICANE SANDY DIDN'T DAMAGE MY HOME OR FAMILIES OR I DIDN'T LOOSE ANYONE I PERSONALLY KNEW, BUT IT JUST DAMAGED US ALL MENTALLY AND HAS MADE US A STRONGER LOVING COMMUNITY! EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE WELL AWARE THAT STATEN ISLAND SAVED STATEN ISLAND! WE ALL CAME TOGETHER AND HELPED EACH OTHER IN DIFFERENT WAYS DURING THIS HORRIBLE DEADLY HURRICANE!

Glam: Your kids are so adorable, how do you differentiate Motherhood from your reality star persona?

Ramona: Well motherhood is part of my reality at times...they film me with the kids, but as far as differentiating, they were first surprised but flattered by the attention and they understand now that mommy takes pictures and they just laugh lol~that's the only thing that has really changed in our lives.

Glam: Karen Gravano is your BFF. How do you know each other?

Ramona: I know Karen Gravano since the day I was born, our moms were expecting together and our families have history, she is family!

Glam: The family is very private. How did your relatives feel about you bringing the cameras in to reveal things normally not seen?

Ramona: My family is very private in general and my family is not happy with the show. Some get it that this the way I choose to support my family. Which being a single mom with young kids without child support is massively hard, but we do not discuss the show or if we do, its outside work like appearances and things that make me travel. That is only because they help me watch my children sometimes .

Glam: What is next for Ramona, and what projects are you working on?

Ramona: As far as what is next for me it is and always was before Mob wives, a book! I am having a hard time dealing with things I would like to block out. At times these things will surface and I have to deal with myself full circle. Even though I am very proud of myself and all the things I have overcome, the pain and suffering is still there! Also, my sister has a product line-Bronze Glow, I have always worked with her makeup company on and off for many years. There are many things happening, but I need to take my time.

Glam: The camera loves you; do you think acting is in your forecast?

Ramona: As far as acting is concerned , you would have to get me the right acting coach, I am not that comfortable being an actress or with the camera really. (laughing)

Glam: Is there anything on camera, you have regrets sharing?

Romona : I don't regret sharing anything on camera, that is me and I DON'T REGRET EVER BEING ME!

Glam: How do you stay in shape, and what workout is your favorite?

Ramona: Whenever I can, I workout, I really haven't as much lately. But I am ready again, I am on and off diets. I do a cleanse sometimes. I enjoy fun work outs, roller bladeing, kick boxing, palates are some of my favorites.

Glam: What are your must haves for a girl like you?

Ramona: My must have are~ a shinny lip gloss~ great bag and shoes. I am also into Sunglasses for the moment..( laughing)

Glam: With all the pain and drama with the men in your life, do you ever regret being born into the mob lifestyle?

Ramona: I never regret being born into my family, of the drama and pain caused by the men, for this is who I  loved and choose to love~ again this is me.

Glam: Tell us something about you that may surprise us?

Romona: Surprises ~ hmm I manage a R&B group out of Atlanta called FINAL DRAFT

Glam: Do you think you are sometimes misjudged?

Ramona: I  think I am. I am misjudged at times more so on TV because of editing~ they will cut your words or show only one side of you, but they are there to make a show and I am there to help provide one. whatever parts they want to show of me.. honestly I may not like it at times, but I go along with it.

Glam: Who is your favorite designer?

Romona: My favorite designer ...there are so many... LV for bags, Gucci for evening dresses and Chanel for life ... (laughing)

Glam: Thanks again for chatting with us, we wish you the best on your future endeavors, and will you ever ever be friends with Drita!!

Ramona :HMM WILL I EVER BE FRIENDS WITH DRITA.. I THINK THAT YOU ASKED ME THAT BEFORE, SO SAME ANSWER.. (laughing)
