CELEB ESTHETICIAN DONNA SCOTT- SECRETS TO YOUNGER AND HEALTHIER LOOKING SKIN

Donna Scott is a Certified Laser Skin Care Expert and Medical Esthetician Specialist. She attended Hahnemann University in 1992 and had a rewarding career in Physical Therapy for 11 years. Donna was nationally recognized in 2003 for her development in patient education for alternative health care. She has also won many awards for her skin care treatments. Glam had the opportunity to speak to her about skin care regimen and products to make you look younger and glamorous!

Glam:

Hi Donna once again, it was my pleasure meeting you the other day. How are you? I know the NBA Draft Experience was a great networking event, how did you get to be a part of it?

Donna:

I am great! Thank you. I attend celebrity events and perform treatments to create flawless appearance to the face. After I received InStyle Magazine, Blackbook Award, I received calls to attend different events from Oscars to the NBA Draft!

Glam:

How did you get started in the skin care industry?

Donna:

When I started this profession I had my own business and my skin had hormonal acne. I tried everything to get my face clear, specifically my chin area. Nothing worked and I was frustrated. I started doing research on ingredients and from there I discovered what would be beneficial to treat the skin.

Glam:

You have won so many awards, tell us about that experience?
Donna:

(Speaking passionately)...The awards are life changing. I was not aware that when you are nominated you don't know that you could be doing the skin of a judge; at least InStyle and Allure Magazines. You do the treatment and they call you. I am glad I always give 110%.  I am grateful that I won because so many opportunities have opened up for me.

Glam:

You have been a voice in beauty and health, what makes you different from other skin cares services?

Donna:

My treatments are unique to the individual I am working on. I do a complete evaluation and select the procedure and product that will give you the result you desire. Skin care education will make the patient have an understanding of why the skin issue occurred.

Glam:

You are also a medical aesthetician; can you explain what exactly you offer your clients?Donna:

Medical aesthetics differ from general aesthetics by training certification and ingredients in patient treatments. Medical Aesthetics is a branch of medicine which deals with beautification of body with help of medical knowledge and surgery. We primarily cover treatments involved with the skin, though other parts of the body may be involved.

Glam:

You work with all kinds of skin types; can you explain what makes your facials work?
Donna:

We offer various individual treatment plans, the different ingredients in our treatments resolves the different skin care issues many individuals have. However, if your skin care product/routine does not resolve your skin issue, you need to research who specializes in the condition.

Glam:

What advice would you give to someone with acne?

Donna:

I would suggest using a wash cloth and products with ingredients that control oil and bacteria.
Glam:

You work with tons of celebs and high profile clientele, how did you start working with them?

Donna:

After I won the InStyle Award, I was invited to perform celebrity facials at the MTV Movie Awards, Fashion Week, and the Oscars. Since then, I have been making appearances and doing treatments at many celebrity venues, television appearances, and magazine articles. I have also been filmed in two Reality TV shows that will be coming out this year!

Glam:

I tried your product at the NBA Draft Experience and it was amazing, can you explain how your treatments work differently than others?

Donna:

My MedSpa is using the best products to brighten, tighten and create a beautiful finish, as we saw with the result in your skin after the treatment. We use four of the best medical grade skin care lines, including my line the Donna Scott Secret Line.

Glam:

What do you recommend for sun spots and blemishes?

Donna:

For sun spots I would recommend glycolic acid, kojic acid, and most important sun screen. Blemishes are treated with ingredients including salicylic acid, denzol peroxide, and other prescription formulas depending on the blemish pattern.

Glam:

What are your ‘must have’ skin care products that you think all fashionistas should have as well?

Donna:

I would say, my ‘must have’ product is the Donna Scott Collagen Serum! My collagen; when placed on the surface of the skin, will plump fine lines and wrinkles. The results over time will make your skin younger looking and healthier. Look at the results you have experienced Madonna! Absolutely beautiful!

We all don’t want to get old, what products would you suggest to have youthful looking skin?

Donna:

I would suggest the ‘Donna Scott Peptide’ and ‘Donna Scott Wrinkle Eraser’. You will see the results on your face within minutes and have a more youthful appearance. Most importantly with my products, you the consumer see results instantly. That is what we are all looking for!

Glam:

Do all products work for all skin types? Or different products for darker skin vs very lighter skin?

Donna:

Great question! Darker and lighter complexions are treated differently during procedures and applications. You should always consult with a professional to get a desired result. How many of us have spent a lot of money trying to correct a problem with over-the-counter products? This can be avoided if you go to a highly recommended skin care professional. I offer skin care treatments for different skin complexions and different acne problems.
